Studio Ninja is a weekly hour-long course – running over six weeks – which aims to introduce young people to songwriting basics and digital music recording and production tools in a fun and collaborative learning environment. 

Weeks one and two of the course introduce the elements that make up a music track, the way that songs are structured and role of digital music tools in capturing and manipulating sounds. This section of the course uses the tools in Chrome Music Lab which make it easy to create music and practice at home. 

Weeks three and four will build on the skills already developed using BandLab, a tool which allows for greater creative expression by building songs with multiple tracks using a bigger range of instumentation, rythms and effects. 

Week five introduces the extensive library of samples and loops available in BandLab to allow students to build tracks from pre-existing beats and samples. 

Week six brings all the learning together and will give young people the opportunity to develop and showcase their tracks.
